It’s amazing what we can do when we come together.
I have been practicing as an Early Childhood Educator, Classroom and Community Support Worker and Behaviour Interventionist for over 25 years in Coquitlam.
When I first joined the world of Child Care I had no idea what a wonderful educational journey I was about to embark upon.

When I first joined the world of Child Care I had no idea what a wonderful educational journey I was about to embark upon.
Our parents, myself and the teaching staff of Able Child Academy Early Learning Society have played an active role in supporting the growth and development of hundreds of children in the community and surrounding area.

Our History
1994-Home Based Family Care
1999-We opened our first location at Montgomery Elementary School.
We started our program in one classroom and you told your friends about our program and we grew into a program with four classrooms and over 150 students. What a compliment! Thank you.
2005-Montgomery Elementary School closed and we relocate

2005-Montgomery Elementary School closed and we relocated to Cape Horn Elementary School.
2012-Expanded to include a Before and After School Care Program at Mundy Road Elementary School.
2014-We added a non-profit society (Able Child Academy Early Learning Society)
This program was a dream that came true for me. My goal was to create an inclusive program for children
2 1/2-5 years where we could support families in the community. Our program was supported for so many years that I wanted to "pay it forward" I felt strongly that I wanted to help parents and children who needed support.
Over the years I had been told by parents of children living with Autism Spectrum Disorder, behaviour challenges and other disabilities that they had been asked to leave sometimes three or four other programs before they found us and I was determined to offer a well trained and compassionate team in an environment that would promote learning and social development for all children, regardless of ability.
Our program is for all families and children who care about fun filled learning opportunities that include social, emotional, academic and physical development.
***We offer free care to those parents who qualify for the Affordable Child Care Benefit in the Early Learning Classes 9:30a.m.-2:00p.m.

Dedicated Educators
Our caring and dedicated Teachers have over 20 years experience providing a quality and inclusive Early Learning Program. Teachers are experienced with supporting the diverse needs of children including children living with Autism
-We understand the importance of getting a jump start on education at an early age and create a learning program to support goals for children to be Kindergarten ready..

Our Mission
To provide a safe and healthy environment in which children can grow; emotionally, academically and physically. We encourage children to try their best within their abilities to enhance their self esteem at their individual pace.
Information
We offer a Before and After School Care Program and Group Care Program (Early Learning Classes) with daily scheduled program activities/curriculum, snack(must be provided by home durning COVID-19), monthly and weekly themes, homework support for older children, science concepts, outdoor play, no bake cooking, most fieldtrips are included in fees. Open 7:30a.m.-6:00p.m.
Your needs and your child's needs are our top priority. Our focus is on literacy and communication skills. We work closely with parents and our community to work with network and services and provide high-quality childcare and education.
EARLY LEARNING CLASSES ARE SIMILAR TO PRESCHOOL STYLE LEARNING . OUR GROUP CARE. CURRICULUM IS BASED ON A COMBINATION OF REGGIO EMILIA, MONTESSORI TEACHING AND THE BC EARLY LEARNING FRAMEWORK.
